BYOD Program

The school is offering a BYOD purchase program for students in grades 3 to 6. This involves purchasing a laptop device for learning at school for the remainder of your child’s primary schooling. The BYOD program provides your child with exclusive use of their own device whilst at school, and can be used at home, as it belongs to you. We hope the BYOD program enhances your child’s learning at school and develops their digital literacy. Teachers aim to incorporate digital learning through the school curriculum. See what our students think about the program!

The steps to follow:

  1. Go to the website cgps.orderportal.com.au/
  2. Select your device and continue.
  3. There is a 3 year warranty included.
  4. Insurance. We highly recommend the pre-selected option which includes accidental damage.
  5. Laptop bag/case. It will be compulsory for the device to have a protective case. Please purchase this if you do not have another option.
  6. Select other accessories if needed.
  7. Finalise purchase.

After you have placed your order, the device will be delivered to the school. Our technician, Eli Moss, will then prepare the laptop and load the software onto the device. (The software is no cost to you.)

You will be notified of a pick up day for the device by parents. The B.Y.O.D. user agreement is available here. Both the student and parent will need to sign and return to school.

Please note, this is an opt-in program. Parents who do not elect a B.Y.O.D. device for their child, will still have shared access to school-based laptops and devices.

We believe this is an exciting initiative for the school and we hope to enhance the learning of digital technologies through this program.
