Hello, my name is Evette and I am the female School Captain for 2021.
I started at Courtenay Gardens in Prep back in 2015 and I am so grateful to be a part of this amazing school. The teachers here are helpful, kind and make learning engaging and fun for all students. I have learnt many important skills and traits here. Our values at CGPS are Respect, Responsibility, Honesty and Resilience. All of the students follow these values inside and even outside of the school.
CGPS also allows students to compete in a wide range of competitions such as the Math Talent Quest, Storyathon, Inter-School Sports and many more.
My highlights so far have been when the entire school visited the Melbourne Zoo to celebrate our 25th anniversary, competing in the Math Talent Quest and Storyathon, meeting my teachers and along the journey making new friendships that will last forever.
I love Courtenay Gardens Primary School and I am honoured to represent the students as a School Captain!
Hi, my name is Ruviru and I am the male school captain for Courtenay Gardens Primary School for 2021.
I joined CGPS as a Prep student in 2015. Our values, Respect, Responsibility, Resilience and Honesty combined with our kind, dedicated and caring teachers makes CGPS the best school!
At CGPS, our curriculum includes Literacy, Numeracy, Indonesian, Sports, Arts, Digital Tech and many more. Our school offers students a wide range of extra-curricular events and activities such as the Maths Talent Quest, The Choir, Inter-School Sports and various lunchtime clubs. CGPS also has two basketball courts, marvellous playgrounds, a full sized gym and a huge oval.
My favourite memories of my seven year journey of CGPS have been when we went on Grade 4 Camp, the Melbourne Zoo excursion for our 25th Anniversary, visiting Scienceworks, swimming at Casey Race, the Student Leaders Reception at Bunjil Place and receiving a High Distinction for my MTQ project, ‘Shocked!’
It is a massive privilege to represent the CGPS community as a school captain and I will forever remember such a great school!
Hello! my name is Billie, I'm currently 11 years old and I'm the female School Vice Captain for 2021.
I’ve been at Courtenay Gardens Primary School since 2015 and since then I’ve been inspired to be a leader by past school captains. Last year in 2020 I was the Junior School Council representative for my class which was a stepping stone to my leadership role this year. As a leader I always act responsibly and respectfully to my peers and teachers.
In my time at CGPS I have experienced a lot but my most memorable experiences have been attending the year 4 camp, our whole school excursion to the zoo to celebrate our 25th anniversary and taking part in the Inspire Leaders Forum with other leaders from around the City of Casey.
Being a part of CGPS has been a very positive experience and I look forward to representing all the students as Vice Captain in 2021.
Hi my name is Riley and I am currently 12 and I am the male School Vice Captain at Courtenay Gardens Primary School for 2021.
I have been at CGPS since Prep in 2015 and as well as my leadership position this year I was elected as a Junior School Council representative in 2020. As a leader we are role models and that means following the school values of Respect, Responsibility, Resilience and Honesty.
CGPS also offers students lots of extra activities such as inter-school sports and a range of different clubs that students can join. Our school grounds are fantastic as it includes five fun playgrounds, two basketball courts, a sandpit and a huge oval with an obstacle course around it.
The highlights of my seven year journey for CGPS so far has been my first excursion to the farm in Prep, the Grade 4 camp, the 25th Anniversary excursion to the Zoo and my all time favourite was taking part in the Swimming program at Casey RACE.
I can’t believe that my experience of CGPS is coming to an end. I will forever remember this amazing school and I am so privileged to be Vice Captain.
